Returning in January, Sydney Festival transforms Sydney with a cultural celebration based on the highest quality art and ideas. The diverse program includes everything from burlesque circus to large scale free concerts in The Domain and Parramatta; from contemporary dance to family programs and traditional Indigenous arts practice.
Special highlights in 2017 include the return of indie rock priestess PJ Harvey, Tim Finn’s smash hit and Helpmann-Award winning musical Ladies in Black, and Briefs: The Second Coming, an Aussie sharp-shooting cabaret of burlesque with balls which will presented at the legendary Magic Mirrors Spiegeltent in the Meriton Festival Village at Hyde Park.
Sydney Festival’s 2017 program presents over 450 performances and 150 events performed by over 1,023 artists at more than 40 venues across theatre, dance, music, circus and art.
